Preschool is the foundation on which your child's education is built on! Our core learning time is from 8:30 to 12:00 however we offer all day care as well. Our small class size allows for each child's individual needs to be appropriately met. We use the Abeka preschool curriculum (more information below) as well as adding on lots of hands on learning! We focus on social-emotional growth that allows your child to be successful not only in the classroom but in their daily life as well.

By the time your student graduates from preschool we hope they have a firm understanding of the following:

The Abeka curriculum is a phonics based learning program derived from over 40 years of research. It not only teaches letter recognition but what sounds the letters make and how the sound changes.Abeka has been successfully training young readers for more than 40 years, teaching basic reading skills using phonics.

Language Arts

Numbers

"Abeka teaches the basics in counting, number recognition, and number concepts. Four-year-olds learn number concepts, before-and-after, and largest-and-smallest for numbers 1–20, as well as simple addition facts like 1 + 9."

Fine Arts

"Abeka gives students opportunities for acting out drama and nursery rhymes featured during the activity time. They’re introduced to poetry. They participate in cutting, pasting, coloring, tracing, drawing, and working with various textures through art. Their writing readiness, hand-eye coordination, visual perception, listening and thinking skills all grow." In addition to the curriculum have a lot of fun with music! We use songs to help us with our gross and fine motor skills and participate in school programs to show off the new skills your students learn throughout the year.

Other

The curriculum provides character building stories, teaches about community helpers, as well as scenarios that can be confusing or intimidating all in an age appropriate short story.
